We’re so glad that you are interested in our English as a Second Language Program! Our program has existed since 2020.

Our vision and program is constantly expanding to greater and bigger things to reach the great people of the Greater Lowell area.

Address: 129 4th Ave Lowell, MA 01854

Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous works among all the peoples!
— 1 Chronicles 16:24

Our Vision

He defends that cause of the fatherless and the window. He loves the foreigner among you, giving them food and clothing.
— Deuteronomy 10:18

Lowell is a salad bowl of cultures and ethnic groups. The world has come to Lowell; the Portuguese, Cambodian, Haitian, and Thai just to name a few. Fusion’s English as a Second Language Program is a ministry that extends its hands and heart to the immigrants and refugee groups through teaching English, cultural connections, and friendship, making it “more than just an ESL program.”

1 Thessalonians 2:8 affirms, “Having such a deep affection for you, we were delighted to share with you not only God’s good news, but our lives because you had become so dear to us.“ This verse exemplifies the heart of Fusion’s ESL program.

How You Get Involved

The first step is to schedule a placement test.

Register here or send an email to Crystal, our program coordinator at rcjcclk@gmail.com

The next step after the test is we determine what level class you should be in. Our current times are listed on the next page.

Our class schedule is based upon our volunteer teachers’ personal schedules.

Open Enrollment

Fusion’s ESL Program has open enrollment and a flexible program that allows accommodation of different financial and scheduling needs. Students can join one or two days a week.

The cost is $50.00 per semester, which typically runs mid-September to mid-December and the beginning of January to mid-May.

Students can pay cash to their teachers on the first day of class or they can pay via CashApp to $FusionLowell and add note “ESL classes.”

We sometimes offer a summer session based on teacher availability, but classes are only once a week.

Our ESL Materials

Each teacher uses different materials and curricula for their classes to create an eclectic, fun, meaningful, and interactive classroom environment.

The Intermediate and Advanced levels use “Grammar In Use” textbooks.

The mediocre teacher tells. The good teacher explains. The superior teacher demonstrates. The great teacher inspires.

Fabiola is an Environmental Engineer by profession and a Real Girls leader at Fusion Lowell.

Originally from Gabon, Africa, she hopes to one day build a wastewater treatment plant in her home country.

IRLICA

Professionally, Irlica is a civil engineer, but she is currently transitioning into the field of education—a calling she has grown to deeply love.

In her free time, Irlica enjoys dining out with friends, engaging in meaningful conversations, playing board games, and taking walks in nice weather.
